Pistol 101

This course is designed to improve the shooting skills of pistol shooters at any level, from the pistol shooter who has minimal handgun training and experience to the experienced shooter who wishes to improve their skill and accuracy. Clients will receive instruction on many aspects pertaining to the safe and responsible deployment of the semi-automatic pistol.

Instruction will cover:

• Firearms and Range Safety
• Fundamentals of shooting
• Pistol selection and accessories
• Holster positioning, drawing and presentation
• Pistol manipulation
• Loading and unloading skills
• Magazine changes (various types)
• Malfunction clearing
• Application of the fundamentals
• Accuracy drills

Required equipment:

• Reliable pistol and at least 3 magazines – Any pistol will work. We have experience with almost all modern platforms!
• Iron sights or optics
• Sturdy pistol belt, a holster that covers the trigger guard, and at least 2 pistol magazine pouches.
• NO SERPA holsters!
• Minimum of 250 rounds of reliable pistol ammunition. Always bring more if you can!
• Hearing protection, eye protection and a baseball cap
• It’s a good idea to pack a cleaning kit, lube and spare parts if you have them (or even a spare gun!)
• Pen and pad if you wish to take notes (always a good idea)

Cost $300.00 + HST per person
