The RAVEN® float system was specifically developed for river Steelhead and Salmon fishing. A number of RAVEN® Gold Standard floats are newly available. Sporting a high-visibility Fluorescent Red tip with a clear coat on the body, these balsa floats feature brass grommets at each end. These RAVEN® Slip floats will require float stops. Consider running stops above your float to select the depth and below your float above your weights to potentially save the float in the event of a breakoff. Having a stop above your weight will also lend you a more quiet presentation and keep your weight and float from coming into direct contact with one another.
